Consultation Fees
(from 12 January 2026. Fees include GST)
Initial Consultation
$375
Usually an 85 minute session (with 5 minutes for client administration).
Additional session time is charged on a pro-rata basis, based on the rate of $250/hour.
Standard Consultation
$250
55 minute session (with 5 minutes for client administration). In Person or remote (video).
Additional session time is charged on a pro-rata basis, based on the rate of $250/hour.
Other Fees
Brief communication/liaison with clients, family members and health professionals (e.g., GPs) is included in consultation fees. More formal or extended liaison/communication/updates (including phone calls, emails), and all report/letter/form review and/or writing is charged at $250 per hour (or part thereof).
Payment
Payment is due within three days of invoice. Payment via bank transfer is preferred. We do not have EFTPOS facilities. If you need to pay by credit card, please contact us at accounts@childandfamily.co.nz. We may be unable to re-book you if you have outstanding fees from prior sessions.
Cancellation and late reschedule policy
We are happy to change or cancel booked appointments, with advance notice. Our online booking system (for existing clients) will allow you to cancel up to two working days in advance of your scheduled appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule within two working days of your appointment, please contact us on 021 676 265.
If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours (standard business hours) of your appointment, the full consultation fee will apply. Due to demand for consultations, we operate a waitlist and where we can fill the appointment slot, you will not be charged.
If you do not attend your appointment, the full consultation fee will apply.
In the case of unexpected illness arising within the 24-hour cancellation window, we are happy to shift your appointment to a telehealth consultation to allow you to still make use of the booked time and to avoid a cancellation fee, assuming your health allows for this.
