The Child & Family Psychology Centre is run by Registered Psychologists who are experienced in working with children, teenagers, adults and families with a broad range of emotional, social and behavioural needs.
David Stebbing (B.A, M.Ed, PgDip Child & Family Psych, MNZPSY Registered Psychologist)
David is a Registered Psychologist who holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Family Psychology (PgDip Child & Family Psych) from the University of Canterbury.
He is experienced in the assessment and treatment of a range of psychological problems affecting children, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
David has a keen interest in personal growth and development and has helped many individuals to enhance their interpersonal skills and their ability to form and maintain healthy relationships.
David's areas of special interest include the treatment of depression, anxiety, and he both practises and teachers mindfulness meditation.
David is regularly contracted by government agencies (e.g. Child Youth and Family) and non-government organisations (e.g. Barnardos) to provide parenting and psychological assessments and interventions to children, adolescents and adults.
He is also a member of The New Zealand Psychological Society, is Registered with New Zealand Psychologists Board, is an accrediated Family Court Counsellor, and is an accredited TRIPLE P (Positive Parenting Programme) Practitioner.
David currently serves on the boards of Youthline and Man Alive, with these appointments being made on the basis of his qualifications and clinical knowledge and experience.
